At Shipium, we’re always looking for ways to help our customers be more efficient. A proven way to do that is streamlining order fulfillment, which can reduce cycle times and average delivery times — as well as shipping costs and error rates.

That’s why we built our new Pack Application, which provides a pack station interface that allows warehouse operators and store associates to quickly and accurately execute shipments.

When you optimize your packing process, cost savings follow. Savings are driven by minimizing shipping errors (and subsequent returns), selecting the most cost-effective carriers, choosing the right packaging, and ultimately, getting orders out the door faster, leading to lower storage costs.

The Pack App provides store and warehouse associates with an up-to-date view into orders and their statuses, fostering better communication with customers and proactive problem-solving.

Intelligent Service Selection

Leveraging Shipium's ML modeling, the Pack App can help operators identify the cheapest carrier and service method that meet the delivery dates promised to customers, ensuring you're always shipping in the most cost-effective way. Additionally, if orders are at risk of not being delivered on time, the platform can also help to identify the right expedited service to avoid a late delivery.

Flexibility and Control

Whether you need to create a partial or complete shipment, from any origin in your network, the Pack App provides the flexibility to do so. And if plans change, you can easily cancel a shipment and re-run the carrier selection process.

The Pack App offers a suite of powerful features designed to give your organization complete control over its packing and shipping operations:

Effortless Label Generation: The heart of the Pack App lies in its ability to rate shop and generate shipping labels with ease. Whether creating a new label or re-printing a previously generated label, the process is intuitive. There are two options for printing — either downloading ZPL, PNG, or PDF files locally and then printing them from the computer on which they were downloaded, or using Shipium's integration with QZ Tray which enables direct printing from Pack App to an attached printer.

Comprehensive Shipment Details: The Pack App guides you through providing all necessary shipment details, including packaging material, dimensions, and weight, ensuring accurate carrier selection and pricing.

Detailed Order Item Entry: Add each item in your order for precise order fulfillment.

Smart Ship Options: Define your shipping preferences, including special delivery properties (e.g., delivery signature), identification tags, and desired delivery dates. You can also narrow down carrier and service method options, giving you fine-tuned control over your shipping strategy.

Maintain an Address Book: Create and manage a centralized address book, either through bulk CSV uploads or manual entry, to quickly populate common destination addresses and reduce data entry errors.

Webhooks for Real-time Updates: You can set up optional webhooks to receive automatic notifications of shipment event updates, keeping you informed every step of the way.

Streamlined Fulfillment for All Scenarios: The Pack App supports both automated/dynamic order processing and manual/hospital lane shipping, adapting to the unique needs of your operations.
